About nri.wedding
nri.wedding is an online matrimonial discovery and compatibility platform intended to help eligible adults discover, evaluate and communicate with other individuals who may be interested in marriage.
The platform may provide services including matrimonial profiles, search facilities, profile recommendations, messaging, preference matching, family information, compatibility assessments, Compatibility Engine questionnaires, automated recommendations, personality and lifestyle comparisons, profile verification indicators, communication tools and related matrimonial services.
“nri.wedding,” “we,” “our,” “us,” “Platform” or “Service” refers to [legal entity name to be set] and its authorised operators, affiliates, contractors and service providers where the context permits. “Member,” “User,” “you” or “your” means any person accessing, registering with or using nri.wedding, including an individual whose matrimonial profile is being managed by a parent, sibling, guardian or other authorised representative.
An introduction platform, not a matchmaker of last resort
nri.wedding provides technological facilities through which members may discover and communicate with potential matrimonial partners. nri.wedding does not itself select a spouse for a member.
nri.wedding does not guarantee: that a member will receive matrimonial proposals; that any particular person will respond; that a member will find a suitable match; that two members will marry; that a marriage will occur within any particular period; that a marriage resulting from use of the Platform will be successful; that compatibility scores will accurately predict relationship outcomes; or that any individual appearing on the Platform is suitable for another individual.
The ultimate decision to communicate, meet, establish a relationship, become engaged or marry belongs entirely to the individuals concerned and, where applicable, their families.
We are not a marriage guarantee service
Payment for a membership, subscription, verification service or premium package purchases access to the features specified for that service. Payment does not purchase or guarantee a marriage.
The absence of a suitable proposal, response, engagement or marriage shall not by itself constitute failure by nri.wedding to provide the purchased digital service.
Eligibility and age
nri.wedding is intended exclusively for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to register, create a matrimonial profile, communicate with members or otherwise use services intended for registered members. The Platform is not intended for children. If we reasonably believe that a person is under 18, we may restrict or terminate the account and may take such additional action as permitted or required by law.
By registering, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a matrimonial relationship and legally competent to enter into these Terms. Nothing on nri.wedding should be interpreted as determining whether a particular marriage would be valid under the laws applicable to the persons concerned. Members are responsible for determining their own legal eligibility to marry.
Marital status
You must accurately disclose your marital status. A person who represents himself or herself as unmarried must not knowingly conceal an existing legally subsisting marriage.
Members describing themselves as divorced should ensure that the divorce has legally become effective before representing themselves as legally divorced. Members describing themselves as widowed must provide truthful information. Where matrimonial status is disputed or subject to ongoing legal proceedings, the member should disclose information sufficiently to avoid misleading prospective matches.
nri.wedding does not independently determine the validity of a divorce, annulment, separation, foreign divorce decree or other matrimonial order unless we expressly state otherwise.
Profiles created by family members
A parent, sibling, relative, guardian or other representative may create or manage a profile only where he or she has appropriate permission from the person whose matrimonial information is being presented.
The person managing such a profile must not misrepresent the prospective bride or groom; communicate contrary to his or her wishes; arrange meetings without consent; accept matrimonial commitments on his or her behalf; or disclose confidential personal information without authority.
Where appropriate, nri.wedding may require direct confirmation from the individual whose profile is being operated by another person.
Accuracy of information
You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You must not intentionally provide materially false or misleading information concerning name, age, date of birth, gender, photographs, marital status, children, education, occupation, employment, professional qualifications, business interests, income, residence, citizenship, immigration status, religion, family background, health-related information you voluntarily disclose, lifestyle, personal habits, relationship expectations, or any other matter that could materially affect another member’s matrimonial decision.
Information can change over time. You should update material profile information when it changes. If you relocate, marry, become engaged, change immigration status, change employment or otherwise experience a material change that makes your existing profile misleading, you should update or deactivate the profile.
Photographs, video and media
You must have the legal right to upload every photograph, video, document, written description or other item that you submit. You must not upload another person’s photograph without authority; false or misleading images; obscene content; sexually explicit content; intimate imagery; content depicting children in an inappropriate context; copyrighted material you have no right to use; malicious files; or material prohibited by applicable law.
You retain ownership of content you lawfully submit. You grant nri.wedding a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, for the period reasonably necessary to operate the Service, to host, store, reproduce, resize, format, transmit and display that content for purposes connected with your matrimonial profile, platform security and operation of the services you request. This licence does not give nri.wedding ownership of your personal photographs.
What “verified” means
A verification badge means only that the particular verification procedure identified by nri.wedding was completed at a particular point in time. An “Email Verified” badge means that control of an email address was verified. A “Mobile Verified” badge means that control of a telephone number was verified. An “Identity Verified” badge may mean that an identification process meeting our stated procedure was completed.
A verification badge does not mean that nri.wedding guarantees everything written in the profile.
Unless explicitly stated in connection with a particular service, nri.wedding does not conduct comprehensive criminal-record checks, civil litigation checks, credit checks, employment checks, educational verification, business verification, asset verification, income verification, medical checks, immigration-status verification, marital-history investigations, social-media investigations, family-background investigations or private detective investigations. Members should conduct independent verification to the degree they consider appropriate before making important matrimonial decisions.
Compatibility and Compatibility Engine
nri.wedding may use questionnaires, member preferences, behavioural information, statistical methods, rules-based systems, machine-learning systems, artificial intelligence and proprietary algorithms to estimate compatibility. These may be marketed under names including Compatibility Engine, Compatibility Score, Match Score or similar terminology.
Compatibility results are informational tools. They are not scientific guarantees of romantic, emotional, sexual, financial, familial or marital success. A score such as “92% compatible” should be interpreted as the result of the methodology used by nri.wedding, and not as a statement that there is a 92% statistical probability that the members will marry or have a successful marriage.
Compatibility Engine, personality descriptions and compatibility assessments are not medical, psychiatric, psychological or therapeutic diagnoses. nri.wedding does not provide therapy through a compatibility score. Members experiencing personal, relationship or mental-health difficulties should consult appropriately qualified professionals.
Compatibility analysis may consider personal values, family orientation, upbringing, education, career, lifestyle, financial attitudes, social behaviour, communication style, conflict resolution, religious outlook, cultural practices, parental expectations, views regarding children, parenting attitudes, relocation, marriage expectations, interests, personality responses and preferences expressed by members. Different factors carry different weights, and the methodology may change as the Platform is improved.
Members remain entirely free to disregard any recommendation. A high compatibility score should not replace personal judgement. A low compatibility score should not be interpreted as a determination that two individuals cannot form a successful relationship.
Artificial intelligence and automated systems
nri.wedding may use automated systems and artificial intelligence for profile recommendations, fraud prevention, content moderation, profile categorisation, compatibility analysis, search ranking, customer assistance, safety monitoring, duplicate-profile detection and platform optimisation. Automated tools can make mistakes. Members should not treat automated output as infallible.
Where nri.wedding generates a profile summary, compatibility explanation or suggested description from member-supplied information, the underlying member remains responsible for reviewing the displayed information and correcting inaccuracies.
Communications between members
Messages exchanged through nri.wedding are communications between the participating users. nri.wedding is not a party to promises, representations, commitments or agreements made between members unless expressly stated otherwise.
No member is required to accept an interest, respond to a message, provide a telephone number, arrange a meeting or continue communicating. Repeated unwanted communication may constitute harassment and should be reported.
Immigration
nri.wedding is a matrimonial introduction service. It does not ask for, record, display or match on citizenship, nationality, residency status, visa category or the ability to sponsor a spouse, and it does not verify any such claim a member may make privately. Profiles, messages or introductions that seek a partner for an immigration benefit, or that ask another member about their immigration status, breach these Terms and may be removed without notice.
Nothing provided through nri.wedding constitutes immigration advice. Marriage to a citizen, resident or visa holder does not automatically guarantee immigration benefits. Users should obtain advice from qualified immigration professionals or official government authorities.
nri.wedding must not be used to arrange sham, fraudulent or unlawful marriages intended solely to circumvent immigration law. We may cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities as required by applicable law.
Religion, community and cultural information
Members may choose to provide information regarding religion, community, cultural background, language, traditions and related preferences. Where a field is marked optional, members may leave it unanswered.
The fact that nri.wedding permits a member to express a lawful matrimonial preference does not mean that nri.wedding endorses, adopts or agrees with that preference. Profile filters exist to facilitate user-directed matchmaking.
Users must not use religion, caste, ethnicity, nationality, disability, gender or other personal characteristics as a basis for threatening, harassing, degrading or unlawfully discriminating against another person.
Moderation, suspension and termination
nri.wedding may review, restrict, remove or decline content where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, policy enforcement, protection of members, system security or operation of the Platform.
We may temporarily suspend an account while investigating suspected fraud, identity misrepresentation, harassment, security compromise, unauthorised account access, payment fraud or serious policy violations.
A member’s access may be terminated for serious or repeated violations of these Terms. Where required by applicable law, users will be provided such notices, grievance mechanisms or other rights as legally mandated.
Dowry and unlawful demands
The Platform must not be used to solicit, facilitate, advertise or negotiate unlawful dowry demands or other unlawful matrimonial consideration. Members should report conduct they reasonably believe violates applicable law. nri.wedding reserves the right to remove content and restrict accounts where required or reasonably appropriate.
Health, astrology and family participation
Members may discuss health matters voluntarily where permitted, but nri.wedding does not certify health statements. Where medical information may materially influence a matrimonial decision, members should communicate honestly and may independently obtain appropriate medical advice or mutually agreed lawful testing. nri.wedding does not provide medical diagnosis.
Where astrology, horoscope, kundli, manglik or similar services are provided, they are offered for cultural, informational or entertainment purposes according to the service description. nri.wedding does not guarantee predictions made through astrology.
Parents and relatives may play an important role in matrimonial decisions. However, nri.wedding does not control discussions or representations made privately by family members. The individual prospective bride or groom should personally consent to all material matrimonial decisions concerning them.
No professional advice
Nothing on nri.wedding constitutes legal advice, investment, taxation or financial advice, medical, psychiatric, psychological or therapeutic advice, or immigration or visa advice. Users requiring professional assistance should consult an appropriately qualified professional.
Service availability
We seek to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, software updates, security incidents, internet failures, hosting failures, telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, governmental restrictions, force majeure or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Intellectual property, scraping and confidentiality
The nri.wedding name, design, software, database structure, text, original questionnaires, algorithms, scoring methodologies, graphics, branding and Compatibility Engine system may be protected by intellectual-property rights. Except as permitted by law or with written authorisation, users may not copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, republish, sell or commercially exploit proprietary elements of the Service.
Members and third parties may not scrape, crawl, harvest, download or systematically copy matrimonial profiles or member information without prior written authorisation. Information visible through the Service may be used only for legitimate personal matrimonial purposes unless otherwise authorised.
A user must not publish another member’s matrimonial profile on social media, circulate private photographs, distribute private messages or otherwise expose confidential information with the intent to harass, humiliate, threaten or exploit that person.
Changes
Features may evolve over time. nri.wedding may add, modify or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. Material changes affecting paid subscriptions will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the terms presented when the service was purchased.
These Terms and policies may be updated to reflect changes in law, new features, new safety requirements, security developments, business changes or operational improvements. The latest version displays an updated date. Where applicable law requires advance notice or renewed consent for a material change, nri.wedding will provide it.
Liability, release and who can be sued
The Service is provided by [legal entity name to be set]. Any claim arising out of the Service lies against that entity alone. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, no owner, shareholder, director, founder, officer, employee, contractor, moderator or agent of [legal entity name to be set] bears personal liability for any claim connected with the Service, and you agree not to pursue such a person in their personal capacity for a matter for which the entity itself would be answerable.
You accept that meeting and forming a relationship with a person first encountered online carries risks no platform can remove, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law you release [legal entity name to be set] and the persons named above from claims arising out of a dispute between you and another member, whenever and wherever that dispute arises.
Any claim must be raised with us in writing first, with sixty days allowed for a response, and must be commenced within one year of the cause of action arising, and in an individual rather than a class or representative capacity — in each case to the extent applicable law permits.
Full detail, including the cap on our liability, is in the Legal Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.
Governing law and disputes
Unless mandatory law applicable to a particular user requires otherwise, these Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. The rights of international users under mandatory consumer, privacy or other laws applicable in their place of residence are not excluded where those laws legally apply irrespective of contractual choice of law.
Before initiating formal proceedings, users are encouraged to contact our grievance department so that the matter can be reviewed.
Subject to mandatory consumer and jurisdictional laws applicable to a user, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts at New Delhi, India.
Force majeure, severability and waiver
To the extent permitted by law, nri.wedding shall not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil disturbance, telecommunications outages, widespread internet failure, governmental action, power failure, cyberattack, epidemic, pandemic or failure of essential third-party infrastructure.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue to operate to the extent permitted by law. Failure to immediately enforce a contractual right does not constitute a permanent waiver of that right.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Safety Guidelines, payment conditions and any additional terms expressly applicable to a purchased service, constitute the agreement governing use of nri.wedding.
Final acknowledgement
By registering with, accessing or using nri.wedding, you acknowledge that you are using an online matrimonial introduction and compatibility platform; that another member's profile may contain information that has not been independently verified; that you must exercise your own judgement before communicating, meeting, transferring money, travelling, becoming engaged or marrying; that a verification badge is limited to the verification specifically described; that Compatibility Engine, compatibility percentages and recommendations are informational tools and not guarantees; that you accept responsibility for independently investigating facts important to your matrimonial decision; and that no clause here removes rights that applicable law does not permit you to waive.
