Alila Villas Uluwatu is perched dramatically on limestone cliffs approximately 100 metres above the Indian Ocean on Bali’s rugged Bukit Peninsula — a wild, savannah-like landscape unlike anywhere else on the island. Designed by award-winning Singapore architectural firm WOHA, the resort is widely considered one of the world’s finest examples of ecologically sustainable luxury design.

It was the first resort in Indonesia to achieve the highest level of EarthCheck certification for environmentally sustainable design (ESD) and exceeds Green Globe 21 requirements. The resort also holds the distinction of being the first all-pool-villa property in the Alila Signature collection (now part of Hyatt).

Its architecture — locally sourced limestone walls, volcanic lava rock roofs, bamboo ceilings, railway sleeper timber, rattan interiors, and water gardens — is inseparable from the wedding experience itself.
