Venue Overview & Architecture
Bvlgari Resort Bali is widely regarded as the single most exclusive and architecturally remarkable resort in Indonesia and one of the most exceptional in Asia. Perched on limestone cliffs approximately 150 metres above the Indian Ocean at the southernmost tip of the Uluwatu Peninsula, the resort opened in 2006 and remains the only Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts property in Southeast Asia.
Designed by Italian architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, the resort is a precise expression of Italian design applied to a Balinese landscape. Volcanic basalt stone, teak timber, Italian travertine marble, handcrafted Balinese sandstone carvings, and custom Bvlgari-designed furnishings define the aesthetic throughout the property.
The private clifftop estate spans approximately 14 hectares. All villas and mansions face the Indian Ocean. Terraced gardens descend from the cliff reception to a private cliff-edge beach club, accessed by a glass-sided funicular elevator travelling 150 metres down the cliff face. The beach club, Il Bar, and the clifftop infinity pool form the dramatic core of the wedding experience.
